Many years ago, the movie about the youth became very popular, every year,we can see many hot movies about the protagonist’s passed youth. People like torecall their passed youth, which makes such movies sell good. But I find thecommon things about these movies, all the protagonists’ youth are aboutfighting, love and other negative things. I understand the directors’ intention,they want to tell people youth is not perfect and having pities. Of course movieis exaggerating, the real youth is about studying, at least, most people haveworked so hard to get into their ideal colleges. What the movies describe makeup some people’s youth, for which they don’t have the chance to experience. Weshould not be misled by these movies, for the teenagers, their job is to study,so that they can have a bright future.

Last night, I went to my friend’s birthday party, I made some friends. Wetalked happily, one of my new friends showed us the pictures of the places hehad been visited. We were so envious, all of us had the dream to go travel tomany places, but none of us took the action. He told us that we were so youngand had the energy to see the world. He told us to carry out the plan once wehad the idea. What he told us is right, we are young and it is good to be the old people’s eyes, we are so free and can go where we want. But most ofthe young people haven’t realized the right they have, they waste their youthand dare not to do what they want.

youth is a precious gift and a golden time in our life. when we are young,we are strong and healthy. it is the time for us to prepare ourselves to becomeresponsible citizens. youth comes only once in a lifetime, therefore, it is important that weshould not waste those years in idleness and bad living. this is also the timewhen our memories are best. we are able to learn more during this time than whenwe become older. during our younger years, we have the enthusiasm to set highgoals for ourselves. we also try to overcome obstacles which are placed in ourway. if we realize how precious youth is, we will be fulfilled when we are youngas well as when we are older. if we waste our youth, we will spend the rest ofour lives wishing we could be young again.

Youth is not a time of life; it is a state of mind. It is not a matter ofrosy cheeks, red lips and supple knees. It is a matter of the will, a quality ofthe imagination, vigor of the emotions; it is the freshness of the deep springof life.

Youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity, of the appetite for adventure over the love of ease. This oftenexits in a man of 60, more than a boy of 20. Some people go through life standing at the excuse counter. They say they’d like to do this or that, but then they offer all theexcuses in the world for why they can’t do whatever it is. No matter what theexcuses are, the only thing that is usually limiting them is their ownself-perception. If I’ve learned anything, I’ve learned that a person —any person —may doanything they set their mind on doing. The things you need are willingness towork for what you want, patience to learn what you need to know and, mostimportant of all, belief in yourself. You only need a seed, and then your faithin yourself will grow with you as you move forward. If your self-perception is that you can’t accomplish something becauseyou’re not smart enough, then take the time to learn what you need to know, andthen your self-perception will change. If your self-perception is that you can’t accomplish something because younever finish anything you start, then go and finish something and change yourself- perception. If your self-perception is that you’re too lazy, too busy, too unworthy,too unfocused, too depressed, or too dependent on others to accomplish greatthings, then you’re right. You are that because you believe you are, but infact, you can change that! Life is change, and the past doesn’t equal thefuture. Your reality today is the result of your past beliefs and ge your beliefs and actions, and you will change your future. Whether youthink you can or you can’t, you’re right. You are what you think. Think about that the next time you need an excuse.
