A rose may be beautiful，or maybe not; that depends on your attitude only，and so does success，so does life. Hindrances and difficulties do exist，but ifyou are optimistic，then they are only episodes on your long way to the throneof success; they are more bridges than obstacles! Have you ever thought that what is Innovative Thinking ? Somebody will said ,"thinking something different !" In fact, it’s not so simple. Have you ever thought how to think something different ? Now , let me explain it to you in detail !
First , we should admit that Innovative ideas do start in one mind before taking on the world. Only in this way ,we have the power of Innovation . For example , the radio, television, telephone and so on, all were developed by scientists . And these scientists all had the ability and courage to think something different . As a sophomore, I am feeling the time flies. Recalling about the past one year, so many thoughts are flooding in my mind. At this time, I just can’t tell my real idea. The memory is just like so fresh, and all the things happened yesterday!
When first day I came to University, I really feel that the school is very good, but at the first sight of the dormitory, something disappointing come up to me! The condition of the dormitory is really very poor with only one room, no lavatory! I saw something sad in my father’s eyes, maybe that time he thought of the poor condition! So with a big smile on my face, I told my father” it doesn’t matter, Dad. In this kind of condition, I will get myself better!” My father felt better. But when he was coming back, seeing his back, I just wanted to cry! I felt in this city I was just isolated, from that time, I said to myself, “ you have no others who can help you here, just depend on yourself”
And then I came to my dormitory 303. I considered that I would spend four years here (in fact I moved to another one year later) and my dorm mates are all there. Most of them came from Sichuan and they were chatting with a happy voice, but I can’t understand them! Again, I felt myself isolated! I hated that kind of feeling, and then I said to hello to them! To my surprise they are very friendly to me and warm-hearted! I no longer felt afraid. And I got along well with them. But at the first night here, I burst out to tears for that I was missing my family. I don’t know why. Everyday when I was at home, I was just eager to go to school, to experience the wonderful college life but when coming here, I am just eager to go back! It’s quite strange though, you must know this kind of feeling!
Just spending about 2 days here, we were on our way to military train. To us, it’s a fresh train and a kind of experience to know the life between the classmates. But to me, I was nervous but excited. This was my first and precious train life because before going to school I have been staying with my family. So, you know, it’s just this kind of feeling I can’t convey it clearly! The train life is impressive on everybody; we had a lot of activities, for example giving a speech on a stage or singing together or playing basketball. At that time, I felt myself so little among them. All of them have a special talent but not me. I admired them but meanwhile jealousy. Why don’t I have this kind of talent? Am I stupid? I always said to myself. So that time I was also very ambitious, just eager to catch up with them. Except the classmates, the trainer in our team also left a deep impression on me! He was not very handsome and very kind. Just because of his kindness results in my laughter when training. He always said to me that I should be serious in the team but I didn’t listen to him. So after a long time, when investigating the training result, I gave them a disappointing answer. The highest trainer sent me to clean the toilet, although, it didn’t means insulting to my dignity, but I was really sad about myself and my heart was hurt. That was a small thing but told me that I need to be serious to one thing. And unhappiness passed, the happy and funny time recalled me that folding the blanket. Yeah, it’s really very funny. Most of us had never folded the blanket and naturally we can’t accomplish the task well. When the monitor came, we pleased him to help us to fold the blanket. To our expect, we managed to persuade the monitor. After the monitor finished the task for me. I dared not to touch the blanket again and just used the clothes instead of the blanket. Of course, I felt very cold in deep night, so to my instinct, I crashed into my classmate’s blanket. And we were scratching the single blanket fiercely, just like a war.

三、活动目的
为进一步加强我校大学生的科技创新意识、创新精神和实践动手能力，充分展示校园科技创新活动成果，全面推动全校学风建设，我校决定举办“XX年大学生科技节”系列活动，在此次科技节系列活动中，外国语学院决定在近期举办一场科技英语演讲比赛。
四、活动背景
在21世纪的今天，英语在国际交流中的作用不言而喻，随着我国科技的不断发展，人才要求的日益提高，科技英语变得十分重要;学好科技英语,掌握流畅的口语是顺应社会发展所必备的素质。因此，外国语学院团委准备在近期举行一场“培养科学精神，提高实践创新能力”为主题的科技演讲比赛。
五、活动范围及对象
活动对象是我校全体在校大学生，其中本学院大一大二每两个班至少派出一位参赛选手，其他同学亦可以以个人名义报名参加。
六、比赛具体流程
〈一〉初赛
初赛以学院为单位进行，由各学院老师和同学选出至少一名选手参加外国语学院的复赛。
初赛在8日前结束。
<二>复赛
复赛以外国语学院为单位，评委由外院老师和学生会学习部成员共同组成。 经过初赛的选拔，我们会选出11名优秀选手参加全校决赛。
复赛时间暂定11月9号。
〈三〉决赛
复赛在50号楼503举行，评委由外院老师及外教组成。
复赛日期暂定11月12号。
评分标准：
1、内容要求：主题鲜明，内容清楚、结构清晰、中心突出，合理展开、阐释充分、证据相关、逻辑性强，内容生动、不枯燥，能吸引听众注意力。 (30分)
2、语言要求：使用标准英国英语或美国英语。语言准确(发音清晰，音调、音高合适，用词准确、相关)，语言流利(注意连读、词重音、句重音、语调和节奏等)。 (30分)
3、技巧要求：自信，有感情与气势;注意手势、眼神与身体语言;幽默感(不能是哑剧式的幽默或调侃);适当使用修辞手段(比喻、类比等)。 (30分)
4、时间控制：定题演讲在2分30秒时有工作人员提示，超过3分15秒，或不足2分45秒，扣1-5分。 (10分)
5、道具使用：定题演讲中允许使用实物、图片等辅助道具，但仅限使用一次道具，使用道具过多将被酌情扣分。
评奖与奖励：
决赛产生一等奖1名，二等奖2名，三等奖3名，优秀奖5名
八、活动前期准备：
1、10月28号通知各学院，请他们于11月8月号前选出至少一名参加复赛的同学。
2、提前申请好活动场地，申请展板摊位。
3、制作宣传海报两份，设计宣传单并复印若干份，提前宣传整个活动
4、做好活动所需材料的准备：把干事分为两组，宣传小组和设计小组，设计小组主要负责海报、传单、邀请函、奖状的设计和决赛当天现场布置方案、物资准备，而宣传小组主要负责初赛到决赛的.宣传，并且负责邀请评委嘉宾。
5、联系好各部门的同学过来协助、帮忙
6、在新闻部调用同学准备负责拍摄，制作现场ppt等技术工作

Hello everyone, the topic of my speech today is "raising the sail of entrepreneurship".
University Campus used to be the birthplace of new ideas, new science and new culture. When we re-examine today's university campus according to this concept which has been inherited for more than 20 years, we suddenly find that the students are inevitably assimilated by the broader and more tempting world outside the courtyard wall. The era of white clothes is over, and college students are more realistic in the form of employment, going abroad to make money and even paying debts. Coupled with the fierce financial storm, more and more college students are facing the embarrassing problem of unemployment after graduation. Facing the severe situation, I can't help asking: college students, are you ready?
"Four dreams of youth" tells us that the ideal of life and the dream of youth should be realized by wisdom. The key is to persistently create and grasp opportunities. Nowadays, the party and the state have issued many policies to encourage and support college students' entrepreneurship. Why can't we accept the invitation of the times and embark on the road of unlimited hope? Maybe you need to ask what entrepreneurship is. Entrepreneurship is the courage to take the road that others have not gone through, entrepreneurship is not afraid of the difficulties and obstacles on the way forward, entrepreneurship is to seek the positive realization of self-worth in continuous development! But what about the other side? What is entrepreneurship? It may be a failure in reality, or it may be a disappointment after a taste of the world. Are you scared? no Because I know that only innovation is the inexhaustible driving force of national progress. If we young people choose, we will never regret it. Even if we fail, we have to smile and get up and move on!
We should be glad that we are in an unprecedented large testing ground. psychologist tell us that stress is a state of worry caused by the problem of living , such as too much work or study , heavy responsibilities , and quickened pace of life istics show that stress comes from every detail in our life. financial problems, poor health, being laid off, may be the stress that most adults now suffering. as students in the university, we are also under our special stress. such as passing the college english test band four. and the things make us felt stressed may be our parent’s greater expectations on us that we could not reach. later, when we are likely to graduate, some other problems will also annoy us. as i see it, we will worry a lot about our ability to compete in the job market and how to use what we’ve learned at college in our future job.
the chief problem we should face to is our attitude towards stress le usually says they cannot live in the sun except they escape from stress. it is unwelcome! yes, however image a world where stress does not exist and people lead their life in a very comfortable way. but is this kind of living condition as perfect as we hope? no. without stress, we may feel very satisfied with the current life but lack of interesting to discover new things much stress result in nothing except a countermarch of the society. no stress, no development. so a certain amount of stress is right and necessary.
it is a fact that stress really exists in the word. how to do with ourselves when stress suddenly breaks into our life? wave the white flag, give up, or just want to suicide as to put an end to everything … of cause not. we should try our best to release ourselves, such as to do sports, to take a rest and to learn to view these changes of life as challenges ’s no use crying over spilt milk. only to accept what has happened can solve the problem.

“What do you think is the word that has really changed our world ?” When I was asked about this question for the first time，without thinking a second time, a word flashed into my mind ——DREAM , D-R-E-A-M. People dream more or less about different things，to be a teacher，a doctor，a scientist，a businessman and so on the people who have dreams should be respected, because Dreams make the world go around . We're growing greater with our dreams. All big men are great dreamers in their youth. Not only does Everyone have a dream, but also everything starts as one’s daydream. Martin Luther king had a dream. He desired for a future where both blacks and whites would coexist harmoniously as equals. By speaking the way he did, he educated, he inspired, he informed not just the people there, but people throughout America and unborn generations. He pushed forward the pace of black American society to the racial equality .
Thomas Edison had a dream. He dreamed of a lamp that could be operated by electricity, begenning where he stood to put his dream into action, and despite more than ten thousand failures, he stood by that dream until he made it a physical reality! And today, his dream lights up the whole world at night.
Walt Disney had a dream, which, in itself, wasn't unusual -- he was always dreaming. He dreamed of making the first animated feature film, and of building an amusement park where parents, together with their kids, could enjoy themselves. Walt Disney empowered his dream and today, Disneyland, Disney world and Disney theme parks attract around the world thrill millions of visitors each year.
John F. kennedy had a dream. He wanted to land a man on the moon and return him safely to the earth so as to restore faith in the American way of life. John edy empowered his dream and 8 years later Neil Armstrong stepped on the face of the moon. The moon landing certainly gave Americans a newly-founded confidence. Dream --- A world-changing word? Yes ,I will say so ,won't you ? Youth is a special life-relaying station , the growth with the worry ,the life feeling become aware happily with the dream ,collecting a unique youth melody here .
We decide. We choose. And as we decide and choose, our lives are formed. In the end, forming our own destiny is what ambition is about. And most important, we are the one we choose to be.
It is easy to waste our lives ,our days ,or our minutes is easy to exist than to live hold fast to your dreams, For if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird, which cannot fly. Hold fast to your dreams, For when dreams go away, life is a barren field, Frozen with snow. I hope you,he,and I, everyone will have a dream!

随着时代的发展，民族逐渐融合，“地球村”也越来越小。如何使中国与国际社会进行更好的交流，促进彼此的发展，是当代中国大学生不可推卸的责任。而英语作为世界上使用最广泛的语言，在国际的交流中自然起着至关重要的作用。所以，英语水平已成为衡量当代大学生素质的基本标准之一。其中，英语口语更显得尤为重要，并且我国早已将英语列为大学生们的必修课程之一。但是，许多人现今大学生的英语素质的评价并不高，听、说、读、写、考能力中只具备“考”字。他们认为许多大学生虽然考试能取得高分，却听不懂，说不清，读不畅，写不出原汁原味的英语。究其原因，大学生们没有一个很好的学习英语的环境，更没有自信去大声的说英语……可见，英语的综合运用能力在当今生活和学习中显得越来越重要了。因此这次比赛的举办，不仅提高大学生们的英语口语水平，提供一个可以展现自我，激励他人的舞台，并且加强在校大学生的竞争意识。同时，也为一些非英语专业的英语爱好者提供了与外教和知名专家进行面对面交流的机会，让他们找到学习语言的灵感，为今后学习英语打下更好的基础。

(5)准备好相机等媒体器材，对比赛进行图片记录。(项目部)
(6)英语知识问答的题目，共需20个问题，每2个编为1组，共10组。(学习部)
2.赛事说明
(1)报名于11月10日截止，由办公室对选手进行编号，并以飞信的方式通知参赛的选手自己的出场顺序。
(2)比赛流程:
①选手于11月11日晚进行初赛，比赛内容是3分钟以内的脱稿演讲，从以下话题中选：
A.自己学习英语的方法
B.介绍一部你最喜欢的电影
初赛的满分为10分，由所有评委中去掉一个最高分和一个最低分，其余取平均分的方法来决定参加复赛的20个选手的名单，并以飞信的方式通知进入复赛的选手。
②选手于11月12日晚进行决赛，比赛内容共分为四个部分：
A.第一部分：3分钟以内的脱稿演讲，题目为
a. keys to a happy life
b. the most important thing in relationship
c. opportunities and challenges in college life
中任选一个，此环节满分为10分。
B.第二部分：评委在选手演讲完后就文章本身或选手本人提出2～3个开放性回答的问题，以着重考查选手的.口头表述能力。
此环节满分为10分。
第一环节与第二环节结束后将淘汰5名选手。
C.第三部分：个人才艺展示(英语)，内容不限，时间为3分钟以内.此环节结束后将淘汰5名选手。此环节满分为10分，由所有评委中去掉一个最高分和一个最低分，其余取平均分的方法来决定剩余选手的名单。
D.第四部分：英语知识问答。每位选手抽签选择自己的问题。此环节满分为10分，每人共回答5题，答对加2分，打错不扣分。此环节结束后将评出本次比赛的冠、亚、季军。
注：复赛成绩为累加计算。
(3)评委评分标准：
①初试：主要看选手的语音，肢体语言，演讲内容，精神面貌，语言组织能力，逻辑思维等。
②决赛: 主要看发音，临场发挥能力，语言组织能力，精神面貌，演讲内容等。
(4)奖励方法：
①冠军将得到一个价值598元的海尔软件大礼包，一本词汇书和获奖证书。
②亚军将得到一本词汇书一个马克杯和获奖证书。
③季军将得到一本词汇书和获奖证书
④另外，进入决赛的选手我们都将发放纪念品一份。
3.注意事项
(1)赛场应有专人引导选手入场。(外联部)
(2)主持人应在比赛开始介绍比赛规则，评委，嘉宾及参加选手。
(3)在上一位选手演讲时，应提示下一位选手做准备。
(4)提前检查麦克风等设备，以确保比赛顺利进行。
(5)对比赛进行图片记录和文字总结，并作为英语社的档案存档。
4.这次英语比赛规模庞大，牵涉众多，要求各部紧密合作。
七、经费预算
主要包括对嘉宾及评委的招待费用，奖品的购置费用，报名表及评分表的制作费用等，具体数额待定。
八、活动意义
随着国际竞争的日益增强，英语口语已成为衡量综合型人才的一项重要标准。为了丰富学生的第二课堂，给学生更多的展示自我的机会和空间。为了创造浓厚的英语文化氛围，掀起学英语、用英语的热潮，培养全面发展的、综合素质较高的人才，塑造新一代大学生的崭新形象，sunshine英文社特举办此次英文演讲比赛，一方面，丰富社团活动，另一方面，也为同学提供一次提高口语水平的机会。
九、活动可行性分析
1.社团角度
(1) 提供给同学们一次展示自我的平台，给同学们创造了一次互相交流的机会，帮助同学们提高自身的英语水平，秉承了SUNSHINE的组团宗旨。
(2)丰富了社团的历史，锻炼了社团的能力，帮助了社团的成长。
(3) 在感恩节来临之际，通过该活动回馈同学们长期以来对SUNSHINE英文社的支持。
(4)社团通过这次活动，积累了宝贵的经验，继续领跑校级社团。
2.选手角度
(1)有一次展示自己英语水平的机会，有一次与他人交流英语学习心得的机会，有一次找到志同道合的伙伴的机会，有一次对自己进入沈师以来的英语学习作一个总结的机会。
(2)锻炼自己的心理素质和演讲能力，提高团队合作精神，为将来进入社会，进行团结合作热身。

acing this audience on the stage, i have the exciting feeling of participating in the march of history, for what we are facing today is more than a mere competition or contest. it is an assembly of some of china’s most talented and motivated people, representatives of a younger generation that are preparing themselves for the coming of a new century.

the teacher asked me to help her, and it was obvious that she expected a lot from me. but as a young boy, restless, thoughtless, i always tried to evade her so as to get more time to enjoy myself.

When the topic “people and nature” first caught my eye, I was reminded
of a story about myself and my violin.
I began learning to play the violin when I was eight years old. At first, it was a very hard thing for me. After my continued efforts, I was
able to play a lot of musical pieces very soon.
I felt so proud of myself that I began to behave arrogantly. My violin teacher noticed this and told me: “To be a good violin player,
you should first of all love and respect your violin. You should obey the
rules of playing it so as to make harmonious melodies. Remember, play the
